The Honorable Few Riding Platoon meets on the first Sunday of every month, following the meeting of Marine Corps League Detachment 1302. Meetings are held at American Legion Post 227, 69 River Street, Middleton, MA 01949.  View Map

Review of Activities

Summer 2009 - In June of 2009 the HF rolled to the Quonset Point Air Station for the Blue Angels and others. July had us in Methuen for the VFW's Annual Charity Ride and an ice cream run to Kimball Farms for a few gut bombs. In August the HF took a lead role in escorting the Vietnam Veteran's Moving Wall from Sturbridge to Lynn's Manning Bowl. It was an Honor. The MCL Det. made a donation to the Fisher House Boston with the purchase of a camera to help track the construction progress. Opening in 2010.

Fall 2009 - September had us on the road to Plymouth for the Road Dawgs Annual ride and Cookout. On the 26th of. Sept. we took a ride to Battleship Cove in Fall River to see the USS Massachusetts aka. Big Mamie. In October was the 2nd. Capt. Jennifer Harris ride for local scholarships in her Honor. (see details) November featured the Honorable Few Det. 1st Marine Corps Ball. It was a fine Ooh Rah with a visit from local heroes, local Active Marines, the MCJROTC Cadets and a retired Gunny currently living in Canada with his wife and lovely daughters who saw us on the web and took the trip down. He kept us laughing all night. The Honorable Few also has pledged its support to the building of the Fisher House Boston on the grounds of the VA Medical facility with the purchase of a digital camera so that they can track the completion of the facility.

Winter 2009 - 2010 - December had members supporting the Ahern Foundation's Annual Army/Navy Game event at the Bostonville Grille. Toys for Tots went full bore all Month working with the Essex County and Middlesex Detachments. Thanks to all who helped it was a strong effort once again. Winter activities continued with the monthly VAVS efforts with the Bedford VA Hospitals, the monthly meetings and planning for the new year.

Upcoming Rides/Events

Spring and Summer 2010 - April will find us all standing tall for the Breakout Run on the 25th (members only), last years was outstanding and one of the nicest days of the entire year. May 3rd thru 9th is Marine Week in Boston. June will have us rolling to Springfield and the Smith and Wesson factory. July is the 4th of July activities Methuen VFW Ride and notches ride. October 3 2010 - 3rd Annual Captain Jennifer J. Harris Memorial Scholarship ride. Details to be posted.
